Repaying mistaken claims for furniture or mortgages or hen houses or moats simply muddies the waters …… instead donate the money direct to your local Community Foundation.

There are lots of benefits:
  • MPs can see the money make a real difference to local constituents.
  • MPs may qualify for tax relief.
  • Foundations can match or top-up donations.
  • Foundations fund grassroots volunteer groups rather than fat-cat core costs.
It’s a fantastic and totally transparent way to show that they want to help ordinary people at an extraordinary time.
Gordon Hunter, Foundation Director.
